Pirates 3

I have to gush about this movie because we saw it last night and unfortunately it's filled my brain so much that I can't think about anything else. And why the picture of Orlando and not Johnny Depp? Hey I wrote the book Obsessing Orlando under the name Kassy Tayler. That should pretty much explain it all.

Great special effects. Great battle scenes! Depp was hilarious. Rush thoroughly enjoyed his turn as Barbossa. Keira got to be a kick ass heroine. And Orloando got to be heroic and romantic and give us more of those great movie kiss scenes.

The ending kind of made me sad. But it left the potential for more movies. But I have to say my favorite scene (and this does not give away any plot points) was where the ship was sailing on a sea of stars. It was one of the most visually stunning things I've ever seen. Almost as if they were in deep space just drifting along. So see it even relates!

Mother's Day

I hope all the mom's out there had a good day. My two handsome sons came to visit bearing gifts. We cooked steaks on the grill and just laid around and watched movies and enjoyed the day. It was nice just having them around without the usual madness of our busy lives.

Recommended Read

I just read a book called The Silver Spoon for a quote. It's kind of a Starman, V type story with a really sweet hero name Caelen and a feisty heroine named Zara. I loved it.

Even if you're not into scifi romance, I still recommend it as just a great read.

Spidy 3

We saw Spiderman 3 Sat evening. I'm not really sure if I liked it or not. The story was great, the action was awesome. Maybe it's just Tobey. OR it could have been all the small children who were really two young to understand the story and got bored after the first half hour. I guess I'll reserve judgement until I see it again. I did think Topher was great and was sad about Harry, even though he got redeemed.

Recomended Reads

One great thing about RT is picking up books by my favorite authors. I have two to recommend this week. Oh yeah, I'm hoping to make this a regular thing.

The first is Wild Thing. So far I've only read Wild Hearts Of Atlantis by Alyssa Day but that in itself is totally worth the price.

The next is Brace To Bite by my new friend and totally missing since birth Twin Sister Serena Robar. What is not to love about a teenage vampire who is missing her fangs and has to use headgear to feed. It's really adorable and laugh out loud funny.


So run, don't walk to your favorite book store and pick these up. You won't regret it.
